Arshad Matin, CEO of Paradigm

As CEO, Mr. Matin manages all aspects of the company’s strategy development and implementation.  Matin previously served as Executive Vice President at IHS where he managed all business lines. He also led SMT (acquired by IHS) as President and CEO where he implemented a rapid growth strategy while transforming the family-owned business into a professional organization. Before joining SMT, Matin was President and COO of BindView Corporation (acquired by Symantec). Matin also led an enterprise security business at Symantec Corporation.  Matin holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania – The Wharton School; an MSE in Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin; and a BE in Electrical Engineering from Regional Engineering College in Bhopal, India.
 

Jason Wright, Apax Partner

Jason Wright is a Partner in the Tech & Telco team of Apax, having joined the company in 2000.  He is currently a director on the boards of Paradigm, Epicor Software Corporation, TIVIT, Realpage and Trizetto.  Prior to joining Apax, Mr. Wright served in a variety of roles at GE Capital, including principal investing on behalf of GE Ventures.  Previously, he worked at Accenture, designing and implementing systems for the financial services and pharmaceutical industries. Wright received a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.  He is also Chairman of the Board of the Opportunity Network, an education-focused charity in New York City.  
 

Bob Smith, JMI General Partner

Bob Smith joined JMI in 2000 and is based in Baltimore. He is currently a director of Compusearch and Paradigm.  Prior to joining JMI, Mr. Smith was a principal at ABS Capital Partners and a vice president in the technology investment banking group at Alex. Brown. He has also served as a nuclear submarine officer in the U.S. Navy.  Smith holds a BS in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
 

Reid French, CEO of Applied Systems

As CEO, Mr. French is responsible for the company's overall business strategy and operational execution. French came to Applied in 2011, after serving as chief operating officer at Intergraph Corporation, a global geospatial and computer-aided design software company. Before Intergraph, French was chief operating officer in North America for Solution 6 Group Ltd., Australia's largest software company. Early in his career, he was a strategic planner for the Walt Disney Company, and he managed investment banking transactions in the technology sector for Robinson Humphrey. French holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Davidson College in Davidson, N.C.; and a master's in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School. He sits on the board of directors for Applied, Paradigm and the Lovett School in Atlanta.  
 

Ihab Toma, CEO of Vantage Drilling International

Ihab Toma is CEO of Vantage Drilling International, an offshore drilling contractor that operates and manages a fleet of modern, high specification drilling rigs on a worldwide basis. He also acts as Vice-Chairman of AGR, the leading well construction and engineering project management service company, serves on the board of Drilling Systems, the leading provider of oilfield training simulation technology, and as Chairman of audio engineering company Engström & Engstöm. Most recently, Mr. Toma served as EVP and Chief of Staff at Transocean where his career also included roles as EVP of Operations, EVP of Global Business and SVP of Marketing & Planning. Previously, he held various roles at Schlumberger, including Vice President of Sales & Marketing, President of Schlumberger Information Solutions and various other Oilfield Services, Wireline, Dowell and GeoQuest positions. Toma holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Cairo University where he graduated in 1985.
 

Eldad Weiss, Founder and Former CEO of Paradigm

Eldad Weiss is the founder of Paradigm, and has been a member of the board of directors since 1988.  Mr. Weiss served as Chief Executive Officer from 1988 until 2005, and again from January 2010 until May 2013. From 1983 to 1988, Weiss was a member of the computer-aided exploration team at Scitex Corporation Ltd., a developer of computer-aided solutions for the printing industry and other verticals.  Weiss’s articles and interviews have been published frequently in trade magazines and the business press, and he has been a keynote speaker at numerous industry events.  Mr. Weiss was awarded the prestigious E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year award for the high-tech segment in 2002.  He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering.
 

Umang Kajaria, Principal at Apax

Umang Kajaria is a Principal in the Tech and Telecom sector based in New York.  He is involved with and on the boards of Paradigm, Aptos and Duck Creek Technologies. He previously spent 4 years at Apax Partners in the Mumbai office where he looked at deals across Healthcare, Tech and Telecom and Financial Services, and was involved in key deals including Shriram City Union Finance. Prior to joining Apax, Mr. Kajaria was an Associate at Silver Lake Partners in their North America private equity division in New York, where he specialized in investments in the technology and technology-enabled sectors. Prior to that, he was an Analyst in the Tech, Media, and Telecom Investment Banking group at Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York. Kajaria holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a BS in Computer Science and Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
