Paradigm Professional Affiliations

Original thinking is a group exercise.

Innovation does not happen in a vacuum. Professionals must have access to each other and participate in a common forum in order to build upon their ideas.

Paradigm® is active in leading professional associations and societies around the world. We regularly submit and present professional papers on advanced science in each organization’s conference and trade shows on an international and regional basis. We also regularly fund scholarships so others can also participate.

Our professional affiliations include:

American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG)

American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG)

AAPG is a pillar of the worldwide scientific community, fostering scientific research, advancing the science of geology, promoting technology, and inspiring high professional conduct.

European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE)

European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE)

Like its American cousin, the EAGE is a professional organization of geoscientists and engineers. Though based in Europe, EAGE’s membership is worldwide and includes both commercial and academic members. EAGE is truly multidisciplinary and international in both form and pursuits.

International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC)

International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC)

IADC promotes commitment to safety, preservation of the environment and advances in drilling technology. Their membership represents and offers benefits to all areas of drilling professionals: drilling contractors, producers and associates. IADC continually fosters education and communication within the upstream industry through a rich array of training seminars, conferences, and a comprehensive network of technical publications.

Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG)

Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG)

The Society of Exploration Geophysicists advances the field of geophysics today and inspires the geophysicists of tomorrow through a broad offering of events, information, and networking opportunities.

Paradigm is proud to be a leading supporter of the SEG Distinguished Lecturer Program.  The goals of this program are to recognize outstanding geoscientists for the high quality of their contributions to geophysics on a global level; to disseminate advances in geophysics through speaking tours to SEG branches; to foster a sense of community among geophysicists; and to provide students with the opportunity to discuss scientific and career issues with leading experts.

Paradigm is also proud to sponsor the SEG Student Chapter Program.  Providing opportunities for leadership, achievement, and cultivation of ideas, SEG Student Chapters open the door for students to actively participate in projects and initiatives that promote the science of geophysics.

Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE)

Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE)

SPE’s global membership of over 79,000 people are engaged in energy resources development and production. SPE is a key resource for technical information related to oil and gas exploration and production services both online and through its publications, meetings and other programs.

Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts (SPWLA)

Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts (SPWLA)

SPWLA is dedicated to the advancement of the science underlying petrophysics and formation evaluation. Their special focus is on the application of these techniques to the exploitation of gas, oil and other minerals.
