Emerson E&P Software Subject Matter Experts will be presenting two papers at the SEG Workshop, "Maximizing the Value of Geophysics in Unconventional Resource Plays", to be held in Dubai from October 2-4.
- Kashif Shaukat, Geophysics Technical Advisor, will deliver a paper entitled "Full Azimuth Directivity Imaging for a Targeted Wavefield" at the Seismic Reservoir Characterization session on Wednesday, October 3.
- Dr. Bruno de Ribet, Technology Global Director, will present a paper entitled, "Machine Learning Provides Faster, Higher-Quality Reservoir Insights", at the Digital Enablement in Unconventional Resources session on Thursday, October 4.

With hands-on experience, from conventional Processing & Imaging to advanced full/multi-azimuth workflows such as multi-component processing, Kashif creates purpose-built deliverables with reduced uncertainty for Reservoir Characterization, Interpretation and Structural Modeling workflows. Over the years, Kashif has worked with numerous E&P companies in consultancy, training and support.
Dr. Bruno de Ribet
is Technology Global Director at Emerson E&P Software. As a key subject matter expert, Dr. de Ribet advises on developing interpretation and reservoir characterization workflows that increase efficiency and take full advantage of the Emerson E&P software suite of geophysical and geological innovations. He has more than 20 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. Dr. de Ribet holds a Ph.D. in Geophysics from the Institute du Physique du Globe, Paris University.
