As reservoir geologists, we use all the information at our disposal to maximize our understanding of the subsurface geology, most often to help decide where to put the next well. Production data from existing wells, such as produced oil-water ratios through time, or measured bottom hole pressures on maps or in 3D, can be used to identify trends, quantify drainage areas, and understand reservoir connectivity. We need to be able to manipulate production data with the same efficiency as we do for logs and well constants when we have hundreds or thousands of wells, as well as display the information they convey alongside any geological maps or well sections to improve our interpretations.
Paradigm’s geological interpretation solution makes it easy to integrate production-related information in traditional reservoir geologists’ workflows, improving infill drilling decisions and communication across the asset team.
