Easily Construct 4D Basin Models

The unique ability of SKUA-GOCAD to construct structural models from the overburden all the way to the basement, combined with the sequential restoration of Kine3D®-3 and the unfolding of grids through time, enables the construction of 4D basin models for transfer to basin model simulation software.

SKUA-GOCAD unique 3D modeling enables the construction of basin models in the following ways:

 
  • SKUA-GOCAD simplifies the creation of a consistent structural model.
  • The SKUA-GOCAD 3D gridding module enables the construction of special grids for basin modeling. Basin modeling grids differs from reservoir flow simulation grids in that cell faces should match the fault plane.
  • SKUA-GOCAD enables the sequential 3D restoration of the 3D volume. With Kine3D-3, the basin grids can be sequentially restored from the present date to the depositional time.
