Data Transfer to and from Schlumberger Petrel

As part of the ongoing Paradigm commitment to develop a true multi-vendor application ecosystem and accommodate client needs by improving inter-application communication, a growing number of Paradigm solutions now enable data transfer to and from Petrel* using the Paradigm Petrel Connector.

New Feature Why it Matters
  • Easier data sharing between disciplines for improved reservoir modeling workflow efficiency
  • Epos®-based interpretation solutions – Support for two-way transfer of many data types generated in Paradigm processing, interpretation and modeling applications, including interpretations, well data, attribute maps and seismic data.  Data exchange is performed through RESQML2.0 file transfer using the Epos Connector Plug-In for Petrel software.
  • Easier data sharing between disciplines for improved velocity modeling and reservoir modeling workflow efficiency
Two dedicated "standalone" configurations of Stratimagic and VoxelGeo:
  • Stratimagic - Users can retrieve seismic data and horizon maps from Petrel, classify the data, and then export it back to Petrel as facies maps and volumes.
  • VoxelGeo - Users can retrieve seismic data and horizon maps from Petrel, propagate horizons using the Paradigm Seismic Propagator horizon autotracker, extract geobodies through subvolume detection, and return them to Petrel
  • Easy data transfer, for improved facies modeling and advanced interpretation workflow efficiency
  • Interpretation, well and reservoir data transfer from/to Petrel and SKUA-GOCAD
  • Easy data transfer, for improved subsurface modeling workflow efficiency
  • Expanded interoperability with third-party data stores, for improved petrophysical workflow efficiencies
