SEISMIC PROCESSING TO SUBSURFACE MODELING – IN HIGH DEFINITION!

PROCESSING & IMAGING:  High-Definition Subsurface Images
Visualize smaller features – fractures, thin beds and small faults
  • Overcome acquisition limitations: Use full azimuth ray tracing (EarthStudy 360®) to understand subsurface illumination. Reconstruct surface recorded seismic data into more desirable geometry with 5D data regularization. 
  • Improve signal: Increase resolution and broaden seismic bandwidth (deghosting)
  • Accurately identify geology: More accurate velocity determination with interactive tomography QC.  Advanced imaging solutions migration like reverse time migration (Echos®) and full azimuth depth imaging (EarthStudy 360) to position events correctly
QUANTITATIVE SEISMIC INTERPRETATION:  High-Definition Delineation of Reservoirs
Qualify amplitude prospects to more accurately identify sweet spots in the reservoir
  • Define rock properties:  Utilize seismic inversion, facies classification and on-the-fly attribute calculations
  • Identify fluids within the reservoir:  Apply tools typically only used by specialists for AVA inversion and QC of pre-stack data
  • Predict fractures for optimal recovery:  Gain best understanding through use of full-azimuth analysis for fracture orientation and stress intensity analysis
MODELING:  Towards High-Definition Earth Models using SKUA-GOCAD™
Delineate with high fidelity the most relevant geological features of the subsurface
  • Honor the seismic:  Use volumetric interpretation for a full 3D interpretation of all faults and stratigraphic horizons in the seismic volume, with automatic earth model creation
  • Visualize the geology:  Extract stratigraphic features from seismic data that were undetectable until now, using 3D paleo-flattening
  • Overcome uncertainties and improve forecasting:  Quantify the impact of fault and horizon position uncertainty on in-place hydrocarbon estimates and production forecasts
