Automated Reservoir Sectorization for Resource Assessment and EOR Screening: A User Case Study in the Middle East,

Optimization of field development (FDP) plans and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) strategies are becoming increasingly common in the Middle East for enhancing hydrocarbon recovery factors in giant mature fields. One way to optimize FDP/EOR such plans is to subdivide the reservoir into multiple smaller sectors and perform detailed analytics on both the static and dynamic properties. This task is usually performed manually, which is time consuming and impractical in giant carbonate oil fields due to the scale and volume of data. The solution uses an advanced automation workflow, developed in SKUA, that when applied on real-data shows that the automation of the subsurface model screening allows for rapid high level of analysis of both the field development and future EOR options.

Reduce Drilling Uncertainty through Rapid Evaluation of Subsurface Scenarios: Emerson Product/Services Spotlight,

The ability to explore uncertainties is a valuable tool for risk mitigation and decision-making strategies. In the Emerson E&P Software we have integrated two products to better quantify uncertainty at the reservoir level. The first technology is a unique geomodeling solution that enables the creation of geological sealed models from both the original structural model and the perturbed models. The second technology is our strong seismic inversion solution which allows the generation of many perturbed models created from a model defined by velocity parameters and structural features. The combination of the two technologies enables the creation of accurate subsurface models which are both geologically and geophysical consistent.
