Abstract

DTA_sm.jpgAs reservoir geologists, we should use all the information available to maximize our understanding of the subsurface geology and build more reliable geological models. As more wells and more data become available, we will have access to much more information and must take that into consideration, to improve understanding of the reservoir.

Data analysis is a process of inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling data with the goal of discovering useful information and suggesting conclusions, to support decision making. This process can have multiple facets and approaches.

In this presentation, we will demonstrate a wide range of powerful and easy-to-use tools contained in SKUA-GOCAD to organize, validate, analyze, interpret and model reservoir data. Moreover, we will demonstrate how it is designed to guide users through all the steps required to establish reliable input statistics for constructing robust reservoir property models. It focuses on de-clustering, histogram identification, and trend modeling for both facies and continuous petrophysical properties, with or without seismic data.


Biography

Natalia-Goes_sm.jpgNatália Góes is a Technical Advisor at Emerson Paradigm for Reservoir Engineering and Modeling. She has over 7 years of experience in building integrated reservoir models and velocity models in Latin America. Natália has a degree in Geology and a specialization in Seismic Interpretation from the UERJ Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. In her current position, she is responsible for promoting Emerson Paradigm solutions to the oil and gas industry, with an emphasis on Reservoir Modeling.
