This presentation will frame the Paradigm 19 release in the context of oil and gas operators’ historical investment in Emerson’s products and where it is heading in the future. Highlights of the release will include emphasis on asset-focused objectives, to improve outcomes for oil and gas geoscientists and engineers.
Duane Dopkin is Executive Vice President of Geoscience for Emerson Exploration and Production software solution, a business unit of Emerson Automation Solutions. In this role, he provides guidance on the technical direction for the company's product portfolio and manages Emerson’s global Geoscience Services organization.
In his 39-year career, Mr. Dopkin has held numerous leadership positions in Research & Product Management. Prior to his current position, he worked as a Geophysicist for Digicon Geophysical Corporation , served as the Manager of Special Products and Vice President of Research for CogniSeis Development, and was the Executive Vice President of Geosciences of Paradigm.
Dopkin holds a BS in Geosciences from the Pennsylvania State University and an MS in Geosciences from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. He has published numerous articles on the integration of the geoscience disciplines to improve hydrocarbon detection and recovery and is a member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists.
