Emerson’s RMS™ reservoir modeling software is a geosciences and reservoir engineering solution covering a wide range of functionalities for optimizing 3D reservoir models and enabling increased reservoir understanding. The software enables operators to flexibly integrate their data and capture and propagate uncertainties across their workflows, preserving data integrity from seismic to production.

Key Features

  • When new well data is available, Channels NGOM Local Update enables fast model updates for facies models created with Channels NGOM in RMS 13. With a new and intuitive user interface that can handle output from multiple jobs, RMS continues to offer workflows that make it easy and quick to keep models up to date as new data comes in. 

  • Several data types can be classified to user-defined classes. These classes can be set to empty when saving a project, providing an option to save storage space for data that will be recreated when a workflow is run. 

  • When saving a project, it is now possible to add a user-defined comment, allowing individuals working on a project to communicate changes and work done inside a project. This provides the ability to document the project's history within the RMS project. 

  • Use of data collections has been expanded, including in jobs, QC and API.

  • Big Loop Variables now has a workflow that will automatically connect input values and parameters, offering a more seamless way of integrating RMS with an external orchestrator.

  • Extended Roxar API support provides access to RMS project data and jobs using the Python language. It can also be used to create customized plug-ins. RMS 13 comes with metadata support, Petrophysical Modeling Job API, and improved data access, collections and plug-in functionality. It is possible to retrieve, copy and store data into other data object(s), run calculations, create new data items, create collections, create views, generate new projects, and much more.

  • RMS 13 includes the latest version of the RMS-RESQML/Geolog™ Connector, offering import and export of RESQML files independent of application or platform, and direct access to Geolog projects. New to this release is support for metadata, workflows and multi-realization data.
